Episode Notes

Aging is something we all should do with grace, pride, and (most importantly) optimal health . . .and this week's guest is certainly doing her part to make this possible for us!! Introducing Dr. Sam Cotton, from the University of Louisville's Trager Institute, whose research centers around the concept of optimal health. As part of her role, Dr. Sam creates education/training outlets to assist physicians and other caregivers tending to the needs of patients with Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia. Tune in as she describes how she became passionate about optimal aging, and takes us through the training and resources she commonly supplies to the aforementioned personnel. She also addresses pressing challenges faced by care providers in rural areas, offers a snapshot of her research findings to this point, and extends words of wisdom to current/aspiring healthcare professionals with an interest in caring for aging clientele. Enjoy listening and broadening your mind!
