S11E20 - Fun Infused Physical Education

Episode Notes
It takes considerable talent to get me excited about exercise...but this lovely lady managed to do it from the time I started Kindergarten, all the way through my sixth grade graduation!! In the "Exceptional Educator" spotlight is the fabulous Jamie Johnston, a long-time P.E. teacher in the Henderson County school system, who made staying mobile extremely enjoyable for her students. She even continues to make it enjoyable through classes she currently teaches during retirement! Jamie will explain how she succeeded in making her classes a treat, detail her experience planning end-of-the-year student functions such as Field Day, and reflect on her long-term engagement in Jump Rope for Heart. She'll also discuss the classes she regularly teaches these days in her hometown of Owensboro, and extend advice to the P.E. instructors of tomorrow. Here's to active listening . . .and active movement!!
